- Assessment 1 & 2
Your task is to create a more sustainable value chain for a product/service of company X, a New Zealand organisation.
Value chains are an integral part of strategic planning for many businesses today. A value chain refers to the full life cycle of a product or process, including material sourcing, production, consumption and disposal/recycling processes.
In Assessment One you will use ‘Hot Spot Analysis’ to identify and evaluate environmental and/or social issues (‘hot spots’) in the value chain.
Assessment Two builds on Assessment One. In Assessment Two you will identify a solution to those environmental and/or social challenges (‘hot spots’) and implement a practical action plan.
You will find some initial information about organisation X below. You will have to further research the organisation and the industry it is operating in. We will discuss appropriate sources during our online meetings.
